Overcoming HS

A journey to overcoming Hidradenitis Suppurativa and developing a healthy lifestyle, fully submitted to Jesus Christ.

Finished.

Finished. That’s the word I’ve been getting from God for a while now. The theme of it already being finished and God already winning the fight just keep on coming up.

God speaks to me through music quite a bit. The songs “Finished” and “Finished Work” by Tamela Mann keep coming up. In fact, the word “finished” seems to be a theme right now. I opened this blog a couple days ago and was led to put Philippians 1:6 on the home page.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”

Philippians 1:6

God finishes what He’s started. It’s already a finished work. If He touches it, it’s a finished work. God wants me to know that it’s finished. When Jesus sacrificed His life for us, He finished it. He’s already worked it out!

I BELIEVE IT’S A FINISHED WORK!

  • Salvation
  • Healing
  • Deliverance
  • Provision
  • Forgiveness
  • JESUS FINISHED IT ALL!

Another song that God keeps bringing up for me is “Man of Your Word” by Maverick City. I love that God speaks to me through music! Thank you Lord for reminding me that it is FINISHED and YOU KEEP YOUR WORD!

You said I’m healed … It is finished!
You said I’m saved … It is finished!
You said my marriage is restored … It is finished!
You said I’m free and delivered … It is finished!
You said I’m Your child … It is finished!

You promised never to forsake.

Thank you Jesus that you have finished it all.

As I embark on walking in obedience to opening up this blog, I believe that God is assuring me that this journey to overcoming HS (along with other life journeys I face) is already finished. It’s a fixed fight, and we’ve already won (another song that keeps coming up for me!). I will keep showing up in obedience and with submission to what God wants to do through me, through this blog, all for His glory.
